Fergus Thomson OAM Heritage Award

Introduction

We are calling for nominations for the Fergus Thomson OAM Heritage Award!  The award will recognise local individuals, groups or organisations who have made an outstanding contribution to our appreciation and awareness of the rich heritage of the Eurobodalla Shire in the last two years.

Your nominee may have restored a historic building, written a historical book, blog or even made a film.  The important element will be the contribution to our awareness and knowledge of the Eurobodalla's heritage.

Suggestions for inclusion in your nomination:

  • Describe the nominee's work and why you believe they should be considered for the Fergus Thomson OAM Heritage Award
  • How has the nominee's work been of benefit to our appreciation and awareness of the shire's heritage?
  • When was the work done?
  • What local organisations has the work benefited?
  • Other recognition of the nominee’s contribution or work, including publicity
  • Whether the nominee worked as part of a team and their role within the team
  • Whether the nominee has had to overcome any particular difficulties or hurdles

Enquiries can be directed to Nardi Arnold  on (02) 4474 1226.

Entries close at 2pm Friday 15 August 2025.

The winner will be announced in History Week September 2025.
